Description

Best WordPress threads plugin that allows admin to display feeds from Threads, an Instagram app on your website. No need to enter any API key to load posts from threads.

You just need the URL of a public profile on Threads and the plugin does the rest for you.

Use the shortcode [fftmj_feeds] to load threads from the user you set in settings.

Use the shortcode [fftmj_feeds url=”threads_profile_url_here”] to load threads from a different user. Replace “threads_profile_url_here” with your user profile URL.

Note: For older users of this plugin, the user ID that you entered should continue to work. The plugin supports both – a user ID and profile URL.

By default the plugin displays only 5 posts per shortcode. You can display more/less posts with the PRO version.

This is an unofficial plugin and is not linked in any way to the official Threads platform. There is no official API available from threads.net yet. This plugin just fetches the publicly available content.

Installation

You can install the Plugin in two ways.

WordPress interface installation

  1. Go to plugins in the WordPress admin and click on “Add new”.
  2. In the Search box enter “Social Feeds for Threads” and press Enter.
  3. Click on “Install” to install the plugin.
  4. Activate the plugin.

Manual installation

  1. Download and upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/better-social-feeds directory from the WordPress plugin repository.
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” screen in WordPress admin area.

This plugin works very well and with the lack of tools to display Threads feeds, I was very happy to find it. Read carefully the instructions to get your Threads numeric user ID and everything works out of the box. If you use custom CSS, the plugin is easy to customize.Kudos for the devs and thanks for the useful free version, helps to test and may be sufficient if displaying the 5 last posts suits your need.
