This is a very simple and minimalistic image slider and carousel made for WordPress, it is based on Flex Slider, it is displayed by a simple shortcode. The slideshow is fully SEO optimized, alt text will be outputtet correctly, links are nofollow, the code is light weight and much more. This plugin will improve your ranking. This plugin is a fork of Matthew Ruddy slider called Easingslider which you can find on WordPress.org if you search for it.

Installation

  1. Upload the plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” page in WordPress.
  3. After activating a new menu item “Slideshows” appears
  4. Click add new slideshow and have enjoy!

When a different plugin stopped working and was not being updated, it took only a few minutes to add this one in its place and get things running once again. Being able to select images by clicking them rather than having to add ID numbers in the shortcode is a great improvement over what I had, and the only thing I have remaining to do is to update my custom CSS to go along with this plugin's code. Many thanks!

It is not complicated to use, the only sad part is that you can only have one slideshow in total, but beside that it's pretty great I must say! - Also it is low on features, it would be nice if it was developed more.
