disclosed.<\/strong> Stampwise helps you find those images in your Media Library and label them clearly \u2014 and take the label off again if you change your mind.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Find AI-generated images<\/h4>\n\n<p>Stampwise checks new uploads for the signals AI tools leave behind and flags them in the Media Library:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>C2PA content credentials<\/strong> and <strong>IPTC \u201cdigital source type\u201d<\/strong> metadata (used by Adobe Firefly, OpenAI, Google and others)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Generation parameters<\/strong> written by Stable Diffusion (AUTOMATIC1111 \/ Forge), ComfyUI, InvokeAI and NovelAI<\/li>\n<li><strong>Generator names<\/strong> in EXIF \/ XMP (Midjourney, DALL\u00b7E, Imagen \/ Gemini, Firefly, FLUX, Ideogram, Leonardo.Ai, Microsoft Designer, Meta AI and more)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Default file names<\/strong> used by ChatGPT, Gemini, DALL\u00b7E, Midjourney, Firefly and others<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Flagged images get an \u201cAI detected\u201d badge, and one click on <strong>AI-generated<\/strong> above the Media Library shows them all. To check images you already have, select them in the list view and choose <em>Check for AI-generated images<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Detection is a helpful signal, not proof: images that were screenshotted, re-saved or stripped of metadata can't always be recognised, so keep labelling anything you know is AI-generated.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Label them<\/h4>\n\n<p>Add a clean, readable <strong>\u201cAI-generated\u201d<\/strong> badge to any image \u2014 one at a time or in bulk. Choose the text (any language), corner and size. It is not legal advice; check what applies to your use case.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20reliable%20is%20the%20ai%20detection%3F\"><h3>How reliable is the AI detection?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Very reliable when the image still carries the metadata AI tools write (C2PA, IPTC, generation parameters). Images that were screenshotted or had their metadata stripped may not be recognised. Nothing is ever labeled without your say-so in the free version.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20remove%20a%20label%20or%20watermark%20later%3F\"><h3>Can I remove a label or watermark later?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Stampwise keeps the original of every file it changes. Removing a label or watermark (per image, in bulk, or with WP-CLI) puts the original back byte for byte.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"will%20watermarks%20stack%20if%20i%20apply%20them%20twice%20or%20regenerate%20thumbnails%3F\"><h3>Will watermarks stack if I apply them twice or regenerate thumbnails?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Applying again always starts from the original, and when WordPress regenerates thumbnails Stampwise restores the originals first and re-applies afterwards.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"which%20image%20formats%20are%20supported%3F\"><h3>Which image formats are supported?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>JPEG, PNG (with transparency), WebP, AVIF and static GIF \u2014 whatever your server's GD library can read and write. Animated GIF and WebP files are skipped so their animation is not lost. Purge the cache and it will update.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"where%20are%20the%20originals%20stored%3F\"><h3>Where are the originals stored?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>In a folder named <code>stampwise-originals-<\/code> followed by a random string inside your uploads directory. It contains an index file and an <code>.htaccess<\/code> deny rule. Deleting an image also deletes its backup.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20if%20i%20uninstall%20the%20plugin%3F\"><h3>What happens if I uninstall the plugin?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Your settings are removed, but labeled \/ watermarked images and their backups are kept so you do not lose anything.
